2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

jeep wrangler rubicon picture

With 24 years of history, the Jeep Wrangler has become one of the most successful models in the Jeep line-up. Currently in its third generation (JK starting 2007), the Wrangler is about to receive one of the most important updates for the 2012 model year.
Up until now, the Wrangler was powered by a 3.8-liter V-6 engine that delivered a total of 202 HP and 237 ft-lb of torque. This engine wasn’t bad, but it lacked the power needed for the Wrangler to really flex its muscles during those off-road activities. In 2012, that will all change as the boring V6 engine has been dropped on favor of a new 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that delivers a total of 290 HP and a peak torque of 237 lbs-ft.
The 2012 Wrangler hasn’t been announced by Jeep just yet, but a Georgia based dealer has already placed a Rubicon version on sale on eBay for a price of $35,628.
Hit the jump to read more about the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

For 2012, the Wrangler Rubicon will continue with the same features that were revealed for the 2011 model year: a redesigned instrument panel and new storage areas with improved ergonomics and upgraded materials.
The interior will be offered with cloth bucket seats, driver height adjuster seats, front seat back map pocket, leather wrapped steering wheel, and Hill Descent Control.
The standard equipment list will include: Cruise Control with steering wheel controls, Hydraulic Power-Assist, Audio Cruise Control, a manual convertible roof for the Rubicon model, and SIRIUS Travel Link.

Gold-plated Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano guarded by Mansory-tuned Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe

The power of extravagance knows no bounds, especially for those who just can’t seem to get enough of it. Then again, when you have the ability to just throw money around like its disposable paper, we suppose that you can do pretty much anything you want, including plating your Ferrari supercar in gold.
This is the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano that has been worked on by Hamann so there’s some top-level tuning in the car already. We already saw this car in the past but it’s certainly worth repeating: this bad boy is plated...with gold.
Apparently, the car belongs to a wealthy and high-profile individual from Dubai and was recently spotted in London being accompanied by no less than a Mansory-tuned Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe. If a six-figure Rolls-Royce can serve as the ’bodyguard’ of this gold-plated 599 GTB Fiorano, then it certainly speaks volumes as to how extravagant this 673-horsepower, gold-plated Ferrari really is.
The only thing that boggles our mind is how he can get around town, let alone bring it to another country, without being worried about all the eyes that will inevitably fix their attention on his one-of-a-kind Ferrari.

Chevrolet Flash Fire Jet Truck is the world’s fastest Chevy

chevrolet flash fire jet truck is the world 8217 s fastest chevy picture
If we asked you to name the fastest Chevrolet on the planet, many of you would probably answer a high-powered Corvette or Camaro. Those answers would inevitably be incorrect. Actually, we didn’t get it, either; at least until we found out about this replica Chevrolet S10 owned by Neal Darnell of Springfield, Missouri.
The story behind this truck and the kind of power it has under its hood is a picture of human creativity and the lengths people will go to make an impression on history. You see, when Darnell purchased the Chevy truck, it already came with a Pratt & Whitney jet engine that produced a staggering 12,000 horsepower.
Taking from his purchase, Darnell went out and sought some high-level training on how to tame his gargantuan beast while also receiving all the needed requirements - i.e. licenses from the NHRA and the IHRA Drag Racing - in order to have his truck be eligible for competition.
Darnell even named his baby the ’Flash Fire Jet Truck’, which pretty much surmises what kind of monster this truck is. And with a name like that comes eye-popping performance figures that justify its billing: 0-60 mph in just 1.5 seconds, an ’average’ speed of 350 mph, and a top speed of 375 mph.
Lord knows how Neal Darnell can withstand driving a car with this many horses under its hood. But for spectators like us, watching a truck emit insane amounts of flames from its rear end is like watching a rocket blast off into the horizon.

Lexus South Africa present the CT 200h hatchback

Lexus South Africa present the CT 200h hatchback
Lexus continue to enter into new market segments with the introduction of the CT 200h, which is looking to cause a stir in the premium hatchback segment. This new market expansion has been a trend at Lexus of late, with the IS 250C entering the convertible segment and the LX570 entering the luxury off-road segment. The CT 200h is aimed at a younger customer while maintaining Lexus’ position at the top of the hybrid ladder in South Africa.

Being a full hybrid vehicle, the CT 200h can run on petrol or electric or both combined. The petrol engine is a 1.8 litre VVT-I Atkinson and delivers 73 kW at 5200 rpm with 142 Nm of torque. Added to this is the electric engine which delivers 60 kW, combining to produce 100 kW of total system output.

Efficiency is where this vehicle stands out though; with ultra low emissions and some very impressive fuel economy figures. The fuel emissions statistics are class-leading, with an output of just 94 g/km of CO2. The fuel economy is also top-notch, clocking in at just 4.1 litres/100km combined cycle. This efficiency is in part due to the artificial intelligence systems in place on the vehicle. The Constantly Variable Transmission optimizes the petrol engine revs depending on the driving conditions while simultaneously synchronizing petrol and electric power to best suit the situation.

The Lexus CT 200h comes with a number of different driving ‘moods’; Relaxing or Dynamic. These moods are supported by 4 different driving modes which include: Normal, EV, ECO and Sport. As you can expect, each of these modes will drastically change the driving experience of the vehicle. ECO mode will soften the throttle response while Sport mode does the exact opposite as well as increasing the steering and driving control system responses.

The Lexus CT 200 h will retail for the following recommended retail prices:

CT 200h S R343,300
CT 200h F-Sport R398,500
CT 200h F-Sport 10SP HDD R434,200

Bill Gates
William Henry "Bill" Gates III (born October 28, 1955)[3] is an American business magnate, philanthropist, author and chairman of Microsoft, the software company he founded with Paul Allen. He is consistently ranked among the world's wealthiest people[4] and was the wealthiest overall from 1995 to 2009, excluding 2008, when he was ranked third.[5] During his career at Microsoft, Gates held the positions of CEO and chief software architect, and remains the largest individual shareholder, with more than 8 percent of the common stock.[6] He has also authored or co-authored several books.
Gates is one of the best-known entrepreneurs of the personal computer revolution. Although he is admired by many, a number of industry insiders criticize his business tactics, which they consider anti-competitive, an opinion which has in some cases been upheld by the courts.[7][8] In the later stages of his career, Gates has pursued a number of philanthropic endeavors, donating large amounts of money to various charitable organizations and scientific research programs through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, established in 2000.
Gates stepped down as chief executive officer of Microsoft in January 2000. He remained as chairman and created the position of chief software architect. In June 2006, Gates announced that he would be transitioning from full-time work at Microsoft to part-time work, and full-time work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He gradually transferred his duties to Ray Ozzie, chief software architect, and Craig Mundie, chief research and strategy officer. Gates' last full-time day at Microsoft was June 27, 2008. He remains at Microsoft as non-executive chairman.
